Dr. Irina Yatskiv is a professor of Mathematical Methods and Modelling Department and Vice-rector for Research and Development, Transport and Telecommunication Institute (TTI). Earlier, she acted as the Vice-rector for Studies and Chair of Mathematical Methods and Modelling Department in TTI. Irina Yatskiv defended Doctor Degree in Engineering at 1992 in Riga Aviation University. She is founder and scientific director of the Laboratory of Applied Systems and leading researcher in field of transport modelling, statistical data analysis and data mining.
She has been chair or member of the organizing committee and the programme committee of the International Conference on Applied Statistics (4 events), Transportation Research (15 events), Complex Systems (3 events), etc. and a reviewer in transportation journals and conference proceedings.
Prof. I. Yatskiv is an Expert in Transport and Logistics at the Latvian Council for Science and member of the promotion committee of the doctoral program implemented by Transport and Telecommunication Institute.
Her research interests are in data analysis, data mining, statistical analysis, mathematical modelling and simulation with application in different fields (transportation sphere, business, economics, networks, logistics and others).
She is a member of the Editorial Board of several journals such as Transport (ISSN 1392-1533), Lithuanian Academy of Science (Lithuania), (WoS, SCOPUS) (2012 – present); Economics of development, Kharkiv National University of Economics, (2007-present) and many others.
